By accessing or using Surfishlog ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Surfishlog is a fishing log application that allows users to track fishing trips, catches, and analyze conditions. The Service integrates with third-party data providers (NOAA, weather services) to automatically capture environmental data.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (trip logs, catch data, notes). By using the Service, you grant us a license to store and process this data to provide the Service to you. We will not share your personal fishing data with third parties without your consent.

By default, you agree to allow us to include your anonymized catch data in aggregate community analytics and trend reports (e.g., seasonal fishing patterns, popular species). This aggregated data never includes your personal information, fishing spots, or any identifying details. You can opt out of contributing to aggregate analytics at any time in your privacy settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission

6. Payment

Surfishlog offers a 10-trip free trial. After the trial, a one-time payment of $29.99 is required for lifetime access to all features. This is a single payment that grants permanent access to the Service. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of purchase - contact us if you're unsatisfied and we'll work with you to resolve the issue.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party data providers (NOAA, OpenWeather) for weather, tide, and environmental data. We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of this data. Use of this data is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SURFISHLOG BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
